Recombinant Human Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 17 (TNFRSF17) is a partial-length receptor produced in mammalian cells. A DNA sequence encoding the TNFRSF17 (1-54aa) was fused with an Fc-tag at C-terminal. Recombinant TNFRSF17 finds applications in studies involving cancer cells.
TNFRSF17 is a cell surface receptor usually expressed on B-cells. It is activated by ligands from the TNF 13b superfamily and TRAF family. On activation, it transmits signals that play a part in the activation of NF-kb and JNK/MAPK8 pathways.
In T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and multiple myeloma, chromosomal errors in TNFRSF17 have been linked to aberrant activation of NF-kb and JNK. Aberrant activation of NF-kb and JNK pathways contributes to cancer-cell proliferation, metastasis, angiogenesis, and the inhibition of cancer-cell apoptosis.
The product has a molecular weight of 34.8 kDa, and purity levels over 90%, as verified using discontinuous SDS-PAGE. Its activity is verified with ELISA and LSPR assay.
